65% of the castings produced at Bahr Bros. are what we call "general jobbing" castings. These are casting that are designed by our customers in a wide variety of industries. Typically they range from 2 lbs. to 2000 lbs. in quantities 1 piece to 1000 pieces, in metals chemistries ranging from basic grey iron to high alloy stainless steel. Our castings are used all over the country in elevators, mining, railroad, pump, smelting and furnace applications to name a few. Below are just a sample of our many jobbing castings made from low carbon steel, manganese steel grey iron and stainless steel. Our goal is to service our customer with casting that meet or exceed their requirements. This is one of the reasons we sought ISO 9002 certification, it helps to ensure that when a company buys from us that part is going to be right the first time. This reduces or customers overall cost that are associated with non-conforming material. The actual value of a part is not just measured by its price.
